About the Artist
Molly Brose grew up in Virginia, earned a BA in Studio Art at Kenyon College, and moved to Washington DC, where she has lived ever since. She was chosen as one of the 25 Artists to Watch in Watercolor Magazine and was featured in American Art Watercolor Magazine in 2012 for her techniques with Yupo paper. Her work was shown at the Nevin Kelly Gallery in DC and The Affordable Art Fair in New York City. From 2007-2010, she had a daily painting practice, selling her work as she posted it on her blog. For the past nine years, she as been raising her kids full time, doing private commissions, and painting out of public view, at night, during naps and school hours. Most of her paintings are made with watercolor and ink, drawing, and recently, collage material, both photographic and painted.
